Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information & Tracking Choices
Last Updated: February 2026
This page explains how visitors may restrict or request removal of certain sensitive personal information under applicable U.S. privacy laws, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). It also describes how TV and Networks responds to browser-based privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
1. What Is Considered Sensitive Personal Information?
Some categories of personal data receive enhanced protection under state privacy regulations. These categories may include, but are not limited to:
- Government-issued identification numbers
- Financial, banking, or payment credentials
- Precise real-time geographic location
- Information related to racial, ethnic, or cultural identity
- Religious, philosophical, or belief-based information
- Health, medical, or biometric identifiers
2. Submit a Restriction or Removal Request
Requests are handled within legally required response periods. Submitting a request will not affect service availability or result in discrimination.
3. Browser Signals & Tracking Preferences
Modern browsers provide privacy features designed to reduce tracking. While traditional “Do Not Track” signals are not universally enforced, TV and Networks recognizes and honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where detected.
- Valid GPC signals are treated as opt-outs from targeted advertising.
- No additional action is required when a GPC signal is present.
- Users may also manage preferences manually through the My Information page.
4. How We Handle Personal Information
We collect limited contact and location details solely to respond to inquiries and connect users with relevant service information. Personal data is never used to infer protected characteristics. Any sensitive information processed for legal or security reasons is excluded from marketing activities.
